Grattansbrook Edition 1.1 Single Malt Whisky
Grattansbrook Edition 1.1 Single Malt Whisky
How it tastes: Exceptional whisky with distinctive character. Dried stone fruits with cacao, ginger and cinammon notes.
How it’s made: Cask strengh (50%), non-chilled fltered, no additives. Made exclusively with barley from Grattansbrook farm and aged for almost four years in multiple casks including first-fill, virgin American and French oak. The whisky is the first release from the 2015 harvest of Taberna barley from Grattansbrook Farm in Co. Kildare, which has been farmed by the same family for nine generations and is managed according to the 'Farm for Nature' protocol.
About the maker: Waterford Irish whisky is all about the terroir. Influenced by the world's greatest winemakers, Waterford wants to bring the same intellectual drive, methodology and rigour to Single Malt. Using single harvests of Irish barley from individual farms, the distillery team has crafted elemental whiskies that express a taste of place and time. Each batch of whisky is created to maximise the unique flavours of the underlying barley and all of its provenance.
