Clocking in at an impressive 8 years old, this release is a sumptuous and luxurious vatting of entirely unpeated Ardnamurchan distillate, finished for 30 months in ex-Sauternes wine barriques. The team at Ardnamurchan felt it was beyond time to introduce another unpeated release after the positive feedback they received from the Madeira Cask Release nearly two years ago. They have chosen a bottling strength of 50% which allows the Ardnamurchan character to shine, while still allowing a measure of elegance to this lovely liquid. The outturn is around 6,000 bottles worldwide.
